Elaine (Oeltjen) Girl, 77, passed away July 23, 2019 in Casa Grande. She was born July 25, 1941 in Beatrice, Nebraska. Elaine was passionate about her faith and was a longtime member of Risen Son Savior Lutheran Church in Chandler, AZ. Elaine and Mel enjoyed RVing and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her husband Melvin Girl; Daughters Kristi Roberts (Greg) and Kim Wheeler (Tom); Grandchildren Ashley Wheeler of Bartlesville, OK, Jeffrey Roberts of Colliver, TN and Brian Roberts of Edmund, OK. Earl Bridges

Earl Bridges was born Nov 20, 1931 to Elisha and Sadie Bridges in Hereford, Texas. He was a man who enjoyed a good cup of black coffee, a good hand with a rope or a wrench. He knew a good dog and valued a good horse, respected a hard days work and respected anyone who put one in. Earl was a collector of things and stories, who had a passion for doing things the old way. He passed away peacefully on July 19, 2019 in Tucson, AZ. He left behind his son Earl W. Bridges of Casa Grande and daughter Sheri Cummings of Tucson and 6 grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on August 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Stanfield Baptist Church, 615 Stanfield Rd., Stanfield, AZ.

Willard Cooper

Willard Cooper, 88, passed away July 16,2019 in Casa Grande.He was born November 18, 1930 In Guthrie Center, IA. He spent 6 years in the Air Force. Then he worked at McDonald Aircraft in St. Louis and at the Federal Aviation Administration in LaGrange IN for 30 years. Upon retiring from there he worked out Raytheon. He and his wife of 68 years, Maralyn have been coming to Arizona for 19 years as snowbirds. He loved to play cards and shuffle board. He is survived by his wife Maralyn: Daughter Teresa Waibel (Mike) and Son Philip Cooper; Six Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren. Gerald Michael "Buck" Donovan

Gerald Michael "Buck" Donovan, 83, passed away July 16, 2019 in Casa Grande, AZ. He was born November 17, 1935 to Dennis and Gertrude (Vandersnick) Donovan in Garretson, SD. He grew up on the family farm west of Garretson and attended Bothun School. He farmed with his Dad until he began working for Blue Construction in Sioux Falls followed by employment with Karlin Services. A farmer at heart, he went back to farming with his Dad until the fall of 1985, when he moved to Arizona City, AZ. There he was a groundskeeper for a local golf course until retiring in May 2008. Buck was an avid Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed reading, fishing and visiting with friends and relatives

Rodolfo "Roy" Gomez

Rodolfo "Roy" Gomez, 85, passed away July 9, 2019 in Casa Grande. He was born June 26, 1934. Roy served his country in the Armed Forces and later became an auto mechanic. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved helping people until the day of his passing. He is survived by his wife Maria Gomez; Daughter Rae-Landa Pond; Sons LD Gomez and Dav-ed Gomez; Sisters Elena "Helen" DeAnda, Maria Salinas, Lorina Salines and Raquel Ramirez; Brothers Enrique "Henry" Gomez and Orlando Vasquez and grandchildren Dayna, Dav-ed Jr., Mia, Andersen, Benjamin and Zoe. There is no services at this time.

Penny Lyn Brashier

Penny Lyn Brashier, 50, passed away July 9, 2019 in Casa Grande. She was born June 24, 1969 in Mesa. She loved cooking and spending time with her two grandchildren and daughter. She is survived by her daughter Nichole Tacker; Her parents Katherine and Alvin Brashier; Sister Kathie Brown; Brothers Mark Brashier and Alven Brashier Jr. and 2 grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by Grandparents Mary and Claude Galliher and Leota and Neal Brashier. There will be no services.

Gary Wayne Taylor

Gary Wayne Taylor, 69, of Coolidge died on July 4, 2019, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. Mr. Taylor was born on December 18, 1949 in Christopher, IL, to Jack Wayne and Mary Belle Taylor. He married his high school sweetheart, Nanette Tilton, on September 14, 1968 in Chicago Heights, IL. He was a very kind and generous man who loved his family very much. He loved to sing and play his guitar and especially enjoyed old country, old rock 'n' roll, and bluegrass music. He was in a rock band in the 1970s, a country band in the 80s and lastly a bluegrass band.
