Virginia Chacon

Virginia Zarate Chacon, 66, of Eloy died on Aug. 28, 2016, in Casa Grande.

The memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Apostolic Assembly — the Faith, with Pastor Felix Bermejo officiating.

Ms. Chacon was a daughter of Louis and Ramona Zarate and did field work for many years for the Bud Antle operation. She also worked at Mickey’s Cafe and Chambers Department Store. She enjoyed visiting with her family, going to family outings and attending church.

A people person, she was nice to everyone no matter who they were or if they were strangers. She was an excellent mom and nana and had a lot of faith in Jesus Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Sonia G. Ibanez; a son, Andy Flores; six sisters, Margaret Rodriguez of Texas, Ramona Zarate of Eloy, Eloisa Chao of Phoenix, Rosa Montoya of Eloy, Josie Zarate of California and Julie Zarate of Casa Grande; three brothers, Roque Zarate of California, Manuel and Augustine Zarate of Casa Grande; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Angel, Johnny and Frank Zarate.
