Jerald Pierce Baldwin


Jerald Pierce Baldwin, 84, died peacefully at home in Casa Grande, AZ on November 25, 2016.

Mr. Baldwin was born September 5, 1932 in Osceola, Iowa to Pierce and Alice Baldwin. In 1939, he and his family moved to Arizona. Following military duty and graduation from Arizona State University, he held various sales and service positions. In 1970, he founded Rental World, an equipment and party rental company that grew from one store in Tempe to multiple locations in the Phoenix area. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed river rafting, skiing, and traveling. After selling Rental World in 1998, he focused on projects in Casa Grande ranging from farming to real estate.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Wootten Baldwin; Sister, Eloise Esser; Daughters, Christy Schust, Kim Mohr and Kitch Baldwin; Sons, Brett, Clay, Jeff and Pete Baldwin; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A potluck celebration of Jerry's life will be held on December 3 at 1p.m. in Paradise Valley.
