Sally Olga Martin
Sally Olga Martin of Casa Grande, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2020, at the age of 87. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
A casa Grande native, Sally was born on March 31, 1933, to Henry and Marina Armenta. In her youth, she enjoyed school and graduated from Casa Grande Union High School. Sally married Ray L. Martin in 1957 and later had two daughters, Beth and Lisa. While raising her daughters, she also helped run Henry's Hotel with her mother, Marina. Throughout her life she was a devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and volunteered at their school.
Sally was a wonderful homemaker and took pride in her perpetually immaculate house. She especially loved to bake for her family and friends. Everyone looked forward to Aunt Sally's speciality, butter cookies! A fun and cheerful soul, Sally enjoyed dancing, bowling, puzzles, games, old movies, and "hitting" the casino. Most importantly, she was a beloved Nana to four grandchildren, Glenn Jr, Kristy Garcia, Stephanie Ptacek, and Marina Troxel; six great- grandchildren, Tristan Adam, Guy, Zane, Roy, McKenna, and Kori; plus many nieces and nephews.
Sally will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Beth A. Schletter (Glenn) of Stanfield, AZ and Lisa D. Troxel (Scott) of Springfield, TN.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lita's Caring Home for their devoted care of our Nana.
