Stephen G. Stegman

Stephen G. Stegman, 64, earned his Angel wings on April 8, 2020 after a valiant battle with cancer. His strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried him through the tough times and gave him peace. He was born and raised in San Diego on December 27, 1955 and he settled in Casa Grande.

Stephen is survived by his wife Marge Stegman; Son Mike Stegman; Stepchildren Scott Corens, Josh Petit; Sister Nancy Hoiberg; Father in Law Mike Mata and in laws Kathy and Mark Long. He is also survived by precious grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, 3 devoted fur babies and a tabby.

He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lois Stegman and mother in law Frances Mata.

Steve had a passion for writing poetry. He loved to dance, watch feel good movies, and taking long walks and appreciating the scenery. He adored his family and would do anything in his power to make them happy. Steve was devoted to the 'Weird Sisters plus one'. A very giving person, he always put others first. He was the consummate gentleman insisting on opening doors for any and all females.

Steve was a proud air force veteran as a Czech Linguist and Technical Writer. He enjoyed the camaraderie and was honored to be a member of Compass Call.

Steve is not with us in body, but here in spirit. He left this world to be with Christ. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
