Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Perrier
Gerald (Jerry) Eugene Perrier, age 78, of Arizona City and the State of Maine, was called home to be with the Lord on March 28, 2020. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after battling cancer.
He is survived by his daughter Melinda and his son Steven (Kelli). He left behind three grandchildren, Nick, Ryan, and Ethan. He is also survived by his sister Marlene and his three brothers Dick, Kenny, and Ricky.
He is preceded in death by his mother Georgina and his father Eugene, as well as his brother Donald and his life long friend Jim Lackey.
Jerry served in the Navy soon after high school. When he got out of the Navy he took business courses and went on to be a manager for a Firestone store in Portland, Maine. Years after he managed several Big Apple stores. Jerry also created and managed Coos Canyon Campground in Byron, Maine.
Jerry owned two camps and his family very much enjoyed swimming, tubing, hiking, 3 wheeling, and snowmobiling. This was their happy place and they spent as much as much time as possible there.
Jerry loved life and had a vast array of interests. He was an avid fisherman and a great storyteller. He was a prospector and traveled the country mining for gold, crystals and gems. He had a life long passion for gardening. He loved to learn and had an extensive knowledge of geology.
Jerry will be missed dearly by his cat, Golden, who gave him immense joy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
