Joyce Arias

Joyce Arias, 68, passed away May 15, 2020 in Maricopa. She was born April 26, 1952.

Joyce worked for Galveston Elementary School in Chandler for 18 years as the crossing guard, lunch lady, and whatever else they needed her to do. She would hug the kids because she knew they needed hugs. She loved cooking, raising her grand kids and her shows. She was the kindest, most loving person. She loved everyone she met. She was an angel on earth and she is an angel in Heaven now.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Henry; daughters Sylvia and Regina and son Enrique; siblings Carol, Larry, Robert, and Luther and 6 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Virginia Pitchford and her sister Ginger Waterman.

Memorial services will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Parish in Maricopa on May 23, 2020 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm. Because of the Covid 19 there will only be 10 people allowed in the church at a time on rotation to offer condolences to the family. Also masks are recommended while at the church.
