Joe E. Garza

Joe E. Garza passed away July 28, 2020 at home in Casa Grande. He was 81.

He was born February 27, 1939 in San Antonio, Texas. He started out as a seasonal farm worker and that is where he met his wife Connie. They spent 63 years together. He also served in the Army/Field Artillery in the late 1950s. Joe would go to work in many different areas and eventually opened his own business here in the Casa Grande area as Joe Garza's Electric for many years. He had an amazing talent and love for music-playing the accordion, guitar, and singing-having his own band for many years. Dementia did not steal this talent from him-he was playing and singing earlier this year for his family!! He loved a good swap meet, yard sale-always finding the "good deal" and going fishing. Joe passed away at his home with his loved ones beside him.

He is survived by his wife Conception (Connie) Garza; children Debbie Triste and Linda Triste both of Arizona City and daughter-in-law Kim Vandeburg of Casa Grande; brothers Rudy Garza of Hollister, CA and Jesse Garza of California; 19 grandchildren; 50 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Joe A. Garza III; sisters Minnie Palafox and Velia Hernandez; and his parents Joe and Petra Garza.

There will be no services at this time. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
