Jerry D. Van-Y

Jerry D. Van-Y passed away August 2, 2020 at home in Casa Grande. He was 82. He was born on August 6, 1937.

Jerry was a Daddy who learned to love infectiously after he accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of his life in 1986. His love of Family focused on his wife and children but extended beyond blood to fostering 63 children.

He took pride in his country by flying the US flag and serving in the USMC from 1953 - 1959, inspiring his son Adrian to follow in his footsteps.

Professionally he earned a living as Superintendent of Public Works for the city of Colony, Texas and a plumber and pipe fitter at Boeing of Wichita. He was multi-talented and multi-faceted, but mastered charm and personality that endeared him to his extended family and those he met.

Although he is released from the limitations of this life, he is deeply grieved for by those he left behind.

Jerry is survived by his wife Jeana Van-Y; children Jeri Ann Keyes (David), Ricky Van-Y (Janet), Shelly Martin (George), and Adrian Van-Y (Nicole); stepchild Aundrea Rush (Jason); sisters Jacqueline Patterson (Lloyd) and Janet Lickteid (Michael); 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a grandson Jeremy Lawson.

There will be a memorial service at Prairie Trail Cowboy Church, 85528 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS on August 14, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Pastor Chris Bray presiding.

Donations can go to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014
