Adam McLean Mines

October 23, 1982 - November 20, 2023




Adam McLean Mines, aged 41, of Red Rock, Arizona passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He departed this world on November 20th, 2023.


Adam was born on October 23, 1982 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to Tammy and the late James Mines. Adam grew up in metro Detroit where he graduated from Wylie E. Groves High School in Beverly Hills, Michigan. He went on to study at Eastern Michigan University and Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.


A man with a passion for technology, Adam found solace and joy in the realm of computers. His dedication to his work as a Technology and Compliance Officer at Pima County Sheriff’s Department was evident in his expertise and his unwavering commitment. He was an individual who found fulfillment in the intricate workings of technology and was widely respected within and outside of Pima County as a valuable resource in this area. Throughout his over 14 years working at Pima County, Adam was recognized for his hard work, expertise, and was considered someone who went “above and beyond.” His coworkers referred to him as “Super Cop” because of his problem solving skills and reliability. Most recently, he was awarded the Public Safety Achievement Medal for his outstanding dedication and years of devotion to Pima County.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adam was characterized by his gentle nature and kind soul. His calm demeanor and patient disposition endeared him to all who crossed his path. His compassionate heart and willingness to lend a helping hand spoke volumes about the depth of his character.


Family was the cornerstone of Adam’s life. His quiet love for his family was unwavering and boundless. He left behind a devastated family, including his loving mother Tammy, brothers Paul and Shawn, sister Elizabeth (Chris) Collison and nephew Jack Collison.


His absence will be deeply felt, not only by his family but also by the colleagues and friends who held him in high regard. Adam was a beacon of reliability and respect at his workplace, earning admiration for his skills, dedication, and his innate ability to inspire others.


Though his time among us was cut short, the legacy of love, kindness, and professional excellence that Adam leaves behind will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to have known him.


Adam meant more to his family than he ever understood. Rest in peace, dear Adam. You will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.


Private funeral services will be held with the family.
