August 22, 1972 - June 23, 2023



Anthony Richard Castro, Jr. passed away June 23, 2023 in Coolidge, Az. He was 50. Anthony, also known as June, June Bug, Pop Pop, Pops, Brown Brother, and Honey Bun to his wife, was born in San Bernardino, Ca, where he fell in love with his childhood sweetheart of 34 years. They started a family and moved to Coolidge where he lived his life as a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, Son, Brother, Tio, provider, and caring friend. He enjoyed golf, football, Sunday funday, and spending time with his grandchildren and walks with his bird Milo and his dog Kota.


Jr is survived by his wife Hortencia Tangerine Castro; mother Jovita Alexandra Castro; children Jennifer Julie Ramirez, Jazzmin Ramirez, Anthony Vincent Castro, Nicholas Ruben Castro, Daniel Christopher Castro, Andrew Elijah Castro, Viani-Jolie Castro, Diana Elizabeth Castro, and his Kota Bear Castro and Milo Castro; sisters Cecelia Montoya, Delfina Castro, Angelina Alexndra Castro, and Victoria Salamanca and brother Ruben Anthony Salamanca; grandchildren Maelle-Rose Castro, Nadine Marie Castro, Malcolm Ernest Castro, Irvin Tovar Ramirez, and Sade Ayah Castro-Jeffries.


He is preceded in death by his Pops Vincent Salamanca; Father Anthony R. Castro, Sr.; Pops Ernest Ramirez; Mom Mary J. Ramirez and sister Marla Hernandez.


A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held on July 8, 2023 at 10:00am at the Coolidge New Destiny Christian Center, 2050 E. Coolidge Ave., Coolidge, AZ. Bishop Vince Smith presiding.
