August "Gus" Kirth, Jr. passed away March 26, 2026 in Casa Grande. He was 95. He was born August 1, 1930 in Central Wisconsin.
Gus was one of 16 children born to August and Josephine Kurth. He joined the United States Marine Corp on March 24, 1949. After he retired from the Marines he went to work for the City of Las Vegas as a Carpenter.
He is survived by his spouse of 70 years Patricia "Pat" Kleiber Kurth; his children Barbara Farmer (Mike) and Mark Kurth (Tess}; siblings Don Kurth, Shirley Schneider, and Bonnie Strehlow; grandchildren Kelly Klingerman and Kenneth Leek and 12 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents August Sr. and Josephine Kurth; daughter Shannon Kurth; siblings William, Orman, Orville, Henry, David, Joanne, Ruth, Erna, Edna, Esther, Alice, Joanne, and Adeline.
