Brian Ray Bishop

December 22, 1968- July 28, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Ray Bishop on July 28, 2025 at the age of 56. Brian passed peacefully after a year long battle with AML.

He was born on December 22, 1968 in Bakersfield, CA. He graduated from Tehachapi High School and went on to spend 4 years in the Air Force. While in the Air Force, he married and had a son, Jaren.

His great passion was cooking, BBQing and making salsa for friends and family. He loved sharing his food and watching people enjoy his delicious dishes. 80's music brought him joy and he always said it was the best decade for music because there were so many different genres to appreciate.

He was a cat lover and his "monsters" Bandit and Alfie still search the house for him.

Brian was a devoted partner, husband, and best friend to his 2nd wife, Karlene, for over 27 years. Up until the end, Brian maintained his kindness, sense of humor and love for family and friends, including the nurses who cared for him while he was hospitalized. He touched everyone he met.

Brian, you were greatly loved and are deeply missed. It's so hard to say goodbye. ( written by Karlene Bishop)

Brian is survived by his wife Karlene Bishop; mother Susan Bishop; children Jaren Bishop and nephew Kevin Bishop, who was like a son to him; his brother Craig Bishop; half siblings Jessica Scott and Cyndal Woodson and 2 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Laura Hughes and Jack Bishop.

There will be no services.
