Charles Leonard Anderson

April 19, 1939 - June 13, 2026

Charles Leonard Anderson passed away June 13, 2026 at the age of 87. He was born in Temple, Texas on April 19, 1939, moving with his mother and father to Stanfield, AZ in 1948 and later moved to Casa Grande where he lived for the rest of his life.

Chuck worked as a mechanic specializing in heavy equipment management for Empire CAT. Chuck was flown to Oregon and Arizona mines to work on off highway trucks, caterpillar motorgraders and other mining equipment.

In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing and camping and working on cars. His favorite pastime was being one of the "three amigos" with his brothers Nate and Roy, he always enjoyed Sunday Menudo and he never missed the event.

Charles is survived by his children Charles Anderson (Deborah) of Phoenix, AZ and Sharon Anderson of Arizona; siblings Toni L. Johnson of Arizona, Jean Ausborn of Mississippi and Carol Peters of Oregon and Roy Anderson of Arizona; grandchildren Marcus Anderson (Kaitlyn), Shaquile Robinson, Kassia Anderson, Aaron Jacobs, Jordan Jacobs and Jamari and 9 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lula and Charlie Anderson; siblings Inell Smith, Blessie Smith, Rayfield Anderson, Nate Anderson, and Bracy Anderson.

Funeral Services will be held on June 30, 2026 at Free Church of God in Christ in Jesus Name, 1134 E. 1st St., Casa Grande.

9:30 am viewing, 10:00 am service, burial immediately following at Mt. View cemetery Casa Grande. Dr. Carolyn Jack, EdD presiding.
