July 20, 1951 - August 1, 2025

Christine passed away August 1, 2025 after a long illness. She was born in Detroit on July 20, 1951 to Rita Boyer and Delbur Walsh and lived most of her life in Michigan before moving to Arizona in 2003. She married William Guerriero in 1973 and together they raised five sons, Andrew (Kayte), Nathan, Adam (Renee), Jacob (Joanna) and Joseph (Amanda). In addition to her children, Christine is survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grand children, and her sisters Kathleen Barnes and Janet Brewster. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Christine graduated from Aquinas College with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She dedicated her life to raising her children and nurturing her grandchildren. She loved researching child development and designed enriching learning experiences especially for the preschoolers in her care. Later in life Christine read very widely and loved movies, especially classics and comedies. She collected recipes and books and artfully preserved family memories in dozens of scrapbooks. She also loved animals and brought dogs, cats and birds into the house over the years.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Christine may make donations in her honor to a charity of their choice. She was a strong advocate for the rights of the unborn, assisting women with bringing their pregnancies to term, and she supported organizations that help prevent cruelty to animals.
Final arrangements are through Angels in Waiting of Casa Grande, AZ. In lieu of visitation at the funeral home there will be a private memorial service for the family. Those who wish to remember Christine may leave a comment at https://www.aiwcgaz.com/obituaries.
