Dorothy D. Lewis

December 9, 1929 - November 5, 2021

Dorothy D. (Surchevich) Lewis, 91, passed away on November 5, 2021, in Casa Grande, AZ. She moved to Casa Grande in 2017 and loved it here with her nice neighbors and warm weather. Prior to moving, she lived in Lawrence, IN, an Indianapolis suburb, for 62 years. She spent 22 years driving a school bus for the Lawrence Township School District and prior to that she was an assistant teacher at the Kitty Coral Kindergarten for 10 years and also a co-leader with the Girl Scouts. She attended Butler College, majoring in journalism and Editor and Chief of the Yearbook.

She was born in Speedway, IN to Mike and Desanka Surchevich on December 9, 1929. She is preceded in death by her brothers, George Surchevich and Theodore (Ted) Surchevich.

Survivors include her children Gerald (Jerry) Lewis of Bloomington, IN and Danice Henrehan of Casa Grande, AZ and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mom, we love you and you will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace.
