Elvira Cardiel Lowe "Vera"

April 8, 1931- November 29, 2021



Elvira Cardiel Lowe "Vera", 90, passed away November 29, 2021 in Casa Grande. She was born April 8, 1931 to Amelia V. Valdez and Augustine Cardiel, who preceded her in death.


Elvira's love for crafts, knitting, crochet, and sewing began when she worked at local sewing factories, which led to a manager position at Cornet Variety Store. This sparked her legacy as the founder of Tri-City Bridal and Formal Wear. She touched many people through her successful business along with being an Avon representative and an advocate and volunteer for voting registration. She loved spending time with family in Tumacacori, as well as attending horse races. Her enchanting storytelling will be greatly missed by family and friends.


Vera is survived by her husband Alfonso Gomez Lowe, children Gerald (Jerry) Lowe, Peggy Lopez, Karen Flores, Shirley Vicich, Sally Lowe, Daniel (Danny) Lowe, and Becky Acuna;; step-siblings Johnny and Mandy; 27 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard, Reynaldo, Agustine and Elberto and son Gary Lowe.


Services will be December 18, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande. Visitation 10:00 am, Rosary10:30 am, and Mass at 11:00 am. Burial at Mt. View Cemetery immediately following. Father Ariel presiding.
