Maria D. Perez

Maria D. Perez, 69, passed away February 14, 2026 in Casa Grande. She was born May 13, 1956.

Maria was truly an amazing woman who was the kindest and most loving person in the world.  She was stubborn and set in her ways. But was always looking for the positive in everything.  Her favorite thing was to cook and feed everyone.  Where “one eats, 2 can as well!” or her famous saying, “echale agua a los frijoles!”  She always wanted to feed everyone that visited us along with the “there’s the water for coffee”-always

She loved to garden; she could make anything grow-she always preferred plants over cut fresh flowers., thus the plants around us!

She loved to listen to all kinds of music loudly no matter if it was a short errand or on long trips. She always made time to listen to our problems and then she would say “Pues lo que haria yo…”, or “vez, te ahorre un bill costoso del terapista” and she would say, “es veinte pesos!”

Everyone who was fortunate enough to know her was in awe of everything she achieved and the warmth and happiness she brought to us can not be overstated. We are forever grateful for the treasured memories.

Maria is survived by her children Claudia Caldwell, Julio Perez, and Maria Minero; mother Maria Eva Lopez; siblings Rosa Imelda Hdz Lopez, Jose Angel Hdz Lopez, Lucia Hdz Lopez, Jesus Alfredo Hdz Lopez, Maria Isabel Hdz Lopez, and Luis Anselmo Hdz Lopez; grandchildren Jordan, Bryce, Yaneth, Yajaira, Eva, and Jason and one great grandchild Vayolleth.

She is preceded in death by her dad Roberto Hernandez Molina and her brother Roberto Hdz Lopez.

Services will be February 26, 2026 at Angels in Waiting Funeral Services, 917 N. Pinal Ave. in Casa Grande. at 3:00pm.
