Marylou G. Piña, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on May 15, 1944, in Casa Grande, Arizona, to Jimmy Garcia and Hortencia Garcia. Surrounded by her loving family and pastor, she was called home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2026, in Casa Grande, Arizona.

Marylou was the second oldest of ten children and was raised in Picacho, Arizona. She was the matriarch of her family, a woman whose love, strength, and faith touched countless lives. She leaves behind an immeasurable void that can only be filled by the cherished memories she created and the legacy she leaves behind.

Known affectionately as “Nana” and “Mama” to many, Marylou helped raise not only her own family but also numerous relatives and children in her community. She lovingly cared for her nephew Brian, her niece Kimberly, many of her grandchildren, and countless others who were blessed to know her.

Throughout her life, Marylou lived in Arizona, Texas, and California. While in Texas and California, she worked alongside her brother Ray at Factory Tire Outlet. After returning to Eloy, Arizona, in 1995, she dedicated herself to caring for children. She worked for many years with the Eloy Elementary School District, where she was fondly remembered as the lunch lady who greeted students and collected their lunch numbers each day. She also spent many years working at Los Niños Contentos Daycare in Eloy alongside her best friend Edilia. Caring for children was not simply a job for Marylou—it was her calling.

Marylou was the prayer warrior of her family. Whether times were joyful or difficult, family members knew they could call or visit Nana for prayer, encouragement, and comfort. Her faith was unwavering, and she left behind big shoes to fill. She loved and served the Lord with all her heart throughout her life. She worshiped at Iglesia de Jesucristo in Tulare, California; Iglesia del Valle in Eloy, Arizona; and later became a devoted member of Fountains of Living Water in Casa Grande, Arizona, where she faithfully attended from 2012 until her passing.

One of Marylou’s greatest joys was shopping. Not even the challenge of using a walker could keep her from visiting her favorite stores. More often than not, she wasn’t shopping for herself but for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Giving brought her joy.

Marylou loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her constant prayer was that her children and descendants would know, love, and serve the Lord. She prayed that they would be happy, prosperous, and successful in all they did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Hortencia Garcia; her sister, Mary Helen Garcia; her brothers, Ray Garcia, Danny Garcia, and Henry Garcia; her grandson, Anthony Piña; and her eldest son, Randy Vidal.

She is survived by her son, Roy Piña, and daughter-in-law, Mary Piña, of Pixley, California; her daughter, Gina Piña, of Delano, California; and her granddaughters Ashley Piña, of Casa Grande, Arizona, whom she lovingly raised.

She is also survived by her sisters: Adella of Escondido, California; Sylvia of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; Margaret of El Paso, Texas; Nancy of Tulare, California; and Betty of Picacho, Arizona.

Marylou’s legacy continues through her ten grandchildren: Adrian, Adam, Art, Isaac, Randy Jr., Roy Jr., Angel, Amber, Ariel (Molly), and Diana; her nineteen great-grandchildren: Tahlia, Frank Jr. (Ariel Meza), Briseis, Calista, Jericho, Estrella, Roman, Makayla, Adam Jr., Leilani, Abigail, Adamia, Michelle, Zekariah, Josiah, Louisa, Arabella, Diana, and Alfred and her two great-great-grandchildren, Elliot and Frank III. She also joyfully anticipated the arrival of her newest great-great-grandchild, Paula, who is expected in August.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday July 7, 2026 at 3:00pm at Fountains of Living Water Church, 518 E. 2nd St., Casa Grande.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join in celebrating her life, sharing memories, and honoring her legacy. A reception with food and fellowship will immediately follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
