Michael "Poppy" Lovette

 Michael “Poppy” Lovette, 70, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2026.

Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on November 9, 1955, Michael built a life rooted in hard work, quiet dedication, and a deep, enduring love for his family.

   He was preceded in death by his mother, Corine Stokes; his father, Leroy Lovette Sr., Stepmother Cathy, and his stepfather, James Stokes.

   Michael is survived by Teresa Lovette, his beloved wife of 52 years, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership and devotion. He also leaves behind his children, Wendy Lovette and Christopher Lovette; seven siblings: Larry, Denise, Paula, Leroy Jr., Karen, Ken, and  Kevin; and his wonderful grandchildren: Kyla, Ethan, Alexiz, Nevaeh, Elisha, Mattie, Abigail, and Annalee, who brought immense joy to his life and whom he adored watching grow.

   A master of his trade, Michael began his career in the electrical field in the early 1970s. For many years and up until his passing, he applied his sharp mind and exceptional skill to his work as an Instrumentation Control Specialist and Master Electrician.

   Away from work, Michael was entirely in his element outdoors. In his spare time, he could always be found trimming his fruit trees, tending to the yard, and soaking up the warm Arizona sunshine. Above all else, his greatest happiness came from the time he spent surrounded by his family, including his closest friend and “brother” David.

   A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th,2026 at 3 pm, at the Silverado RV Resort Clubhouse, located at 4555 W. Tonto Rd in Eloy.
