Winfield M. "Win" Alme

August 5,1940 - September 27, 2021



Winfield M. "Win" Alme, a 23 year resident of Casa Grande graduated to his heavenly home September 27, 2021.


Win was born in Minot, North Dakota on August 5,1940, to Edward and Stella (Otterson) Alme. The family moved to Roswell, New Mexico where Win spent his growing up years, graduating from Roswell High Scholl in 1958. He attended the University of New Mexico where he met and married his wife of almost 61 years, Marilyn (Breedlove). He received his BA and MA degrees from Adams State University, in Alamosa, Colorado.


Win managed hardware stores in Pagosa Springs, Monte Vista, and Durango, Colorado. He traveled for True Value and Ace Hardware servicing their stores.


Upon retirement and moving to Arizona he enjoyed golf, led Bible studies and was Pastor of the Fairways Chapel. He spent summers in Colorado enjoying the grandchildren, (his and others) and traveling in their motorhome.


Survivors include his wife Marilyn; sons Doug (Kim) and Zack (Melody); grandchildren Morgan Uebele, Jared, Cody, Alexis and Talon and great granddaughter Hadasah.


A graduation to Heaven celebration will be held at the Fairways Clubhouse, 2054 N. Thornton Rd on December 11, 2021 at 11:30 am. A lite lunch will follow.
