October 29, 1944 - April 2, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Edith Ann Peters, who peacefully departed this world on April 2, 2026, at her home in Chandler, AZ. Edith graced this earth for 81 wonderful years, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Born on October 29, 1944, in the beautiful town of Durango, Colorado, she was the cherished daughter of the late Harry and Florence Hill.

A devoted mother, Edith was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kanya Michelle Peters, and her son, Onesemah “Onie” Harrison Peters.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Misha Gonzales and Tiana Enos, who carry forward her spirit and values. Edith’s heart swelled with pride for her nine grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished as the treasures of her life.

Edith is also survived by her siblings, each of whom held a special place in her heart: her brothers, Andy Hill and his wife Cynthia, Harry Hill and his wife Jackie, and her sister, Rosemary Schneiter and her husband Ron. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties that Edith so deeply valued.

For over 20+ years, Edith was a successful business owner of the MTO smoke shop in Sacaton AZ, all while fulfilling her most treasured role as a full-time mother. Her dedication and hard work were admired by all who knew her. An active member of Calvary Chapel for more than two decades, Edith’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, offering guidance and solace to those around her.

Edith’s love for animals was a lifelong passion, and her home was a sanctuary for a variety of beloved pets, from dogs and cats to dumpy tree frogs and cockatiel birds. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to every living creature she encountered. Cooking and sewing were among Edith’s many talents. She delighted in creating beautiful dresses and imaginative Halloween costumes for her children, and her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of her legendary banana bread. Edith’s culinary skills brought joy to her family and friends, leaving them with cherished memories of shared meals and laughter.

Known for her sweet nature and welcoming demeanor, Edith was a pillar of support and a beacon of kindness to her community. Whether offering a listening ear or a heartfelt prayer, she touched the lives of everyone she met with her warmth and compassion.

Edith Ann Peters leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all fortunate enough to have known her. Though she has departed from this physical world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved.

In honor of Edith’s life, her family requests that those attending her Services wear a shade of her favorite color, pink. This tribute will celebrate her vibrant spirit and the love she shared so generously.
