Gloria Tucker, 91, passed away August 19, 2018 in Casa Grande. She was born February 25, 1927 in Florence to Jose and Elvira Padilla, who proceed her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Florence.
Gloria, sensitive by nature, was also conversely known for being a social personality. She would go out of her way to help others, especially those with legal or immigration issues when they could not afford to pay for legal representation. As a retired Municipal Judge, she maintained contacts and friends near and far.
Her family knows that she would have liked to her love and appreciation to her close friends, the Florence Police Dept and especially the Florence Fire Dept. Her family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley, nurse Christy and CNA Maria.
Gloria was a proud Democrat before it was fashionable. Known for her loyalty and ability to speak her mind, she wasn't afraid of a little fight now and then. Guess that is why she lasted 91 years and passed away on the same date as her father before her.
She is survived by her sons Byron Tucker and Darrell Tucker. Sister Margaret "Maggie" Valdez of Florence and brother Lt. Col. Frank Padilla USAF retired of Virginia. 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
