Zinnia Lato


Zinnia Lato, 86, passed away February 16, 2019 in Casa Grande. She was born on March 28, 1932 in a farmhouse in Eau Galle, Wisconsin. She was raised in Eau Galle and went to grade school there. She went to high school in Durand, Wisconsin. She worked as a dietician at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Clair, Wisconsin and in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She met her husband of 57 and a half years, Louie, in Menomonie. They married on June 22, 1961. They moved to Forks, Washington in 1968. She was a head baker at the school. She liked to travel and liked the beach. She loved to dance. She was a singer and imitated Elvis and was a yodeler. She liked to go to the casinos to talk to people. She was very religious and had a very good life. She loved meeting people and loved kids. Most of all she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone.

She is survived by her husband Louie Lato; Children Sandy Klahn of Forks, WA and Randy Lato of Forks, WA. Sisters Janet Wolf of Eau Clair, WI and Sharon Prissel of Port Angeles, WA.

There will be funeral services on March 2, 2019 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Forks, WA with burial immediately following at Forks Cemetery.

Donations can be made to the family for funeral expenses.
