David Leroy Brown

David Leroy Brown went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2019.

Davis was born on September 6, 1946 in Yakima, Washington where he lived most of his life. He married Linda Leslie on October 30, 1964 in Naches, Washington. He is survived by three children; David Douglas Brown (Brenda), Sonia Lynn Brown (Glen) and Dennis Lee Brown (Rachel), four Grandchildren; Alexis Brown, Ashley Brown, Spencer Brown and Carter Brown. One Sister Wanda Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Davis was proceeded in death by his parents Ina and Ernest Brown and three brothers Gerald Brown, Stanley Brown and James Brown.

David was a happy fellow, always smiling. After working 42 years of long hours at Snyders Bakery as a transport driver, he retired in 2011. Being a very adventurous person, he had many hobbies such as motorcycle trail riding, snowmobiling, drag racing and at last golfing. Golf was his passion, so of course he and Linda moved from Spokane, Washington to Casa Grande, next to Dave White Golf Course. He truly enjoyed playing with the Men's Club who treated him very special. He loved the people and made many wonderful friends attending functions at the clubhouse and playing cards.

After a few years of retirement, David became sick with cancer. He was very courageous and fought the disease hard. After taking chemo for over three years, he lost his battle. His last wish was to see his children once more who all live in the State of Washington. All three of his children, who loved their Dad deeply, made sure his wish came true.

Davis accepted Jesus as his Savior and was ready to pass on to his next life in Heaven. Pastor Wayne Sheppard was instrumental in helping him do so.

David was a genuinely warm and wonderful individual who was loved very much. He will be truly missed.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday February 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Fairways Clubhouse, 2054 N. Thornton Rd., Casa Grande.
