Frederick William DeHart

Frederick William DeHart, 76, passed away June 25, 2018 at Banner Casa Grande of cardiac arrest. He was born February 3, 1942 in Sunnyside, WA. He grew up in Portland, OR and graduated from Washington High School. He served in the Air Force for 4 years. He worked for Fred Meyer, Inc. for 35 years. He retired early and drove a special ed school bus for the Oregon City School District for 11 years, which he loved. He was a member of the Gladstone School Board.
When he retired he and his wife Cheryl begin traveling to Casa Grande for the winters, each year staying longer. Four years ago they moved to Casa Grande full time.
He loved to travel and went on numerous cruises in locations around the world. Just before he got sick, he and Cheryl went on a transatlantic cruse which he enjoyed.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl DeHart, his daughter Kimberly Friemark, her husband Mark and 2 granddaughters, Abby and Emma Friemark.
Services will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Mayo transplant Clinic and to the Casa Grande Fire Department.
