Augustine Ziegler
July 21, 1972 - February 12, 2025

Augustine Jerome Ziegler, born on July 21st, 1972 in Downey, California, went home to be with the Lord in Casa Grande, Arizona on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025 after a long and valiant battle with complications from diabetes.
“Jerry” or “Auggie” as he was affectionately known to his loved ones, was a beacon of hope, humor and inspiration to all who knew him. A former nationally recognized chef for Embassy Suites and executive chef for El Camino College, Augustine enjoyed using his culinary skills to prepare delicious dishes and meals both professionally and at home. He loved to play billiards and blackjack, but the thing he loved most of all was being around family, friends and kindred spirits and sharing laughter and wisdom and tall-tales that he had gathered through years of adventure and experience. He also loved spoiling his family and any kids lucky enough to find themselves in his orbit.
Augustine is survived by his wife and partner in life for the last 22 years, Erin, his son, Ben, his daughter, Jackie, and his son, Joey his mother and father, Glenn and Terri, sister, Tamera and brother-in-law, Robert, sister Tonya and brother-in-law, Christopher and aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces and nephews, biological and “adopted.”
Augustine’s joyful and generous nature combined with his unique storytelling abilities and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Condolences can be sent to 1000 N. Arizola Road Apt. #705, Casa Grande, AZ 85122
