Carole Ann Rumbaugh, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Arizona. She was 82.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Carole was the beloved daughter of Herbert and Alice Beckett. She carried the warmth, strength, and pride of her hometown with her throughout her life. A dedicated educator, Carole earned her master's degree in education and devoted 25+ years of service to the Penn Hills School District, inspiring generations of students with her patience, wit, and unwavering belief in the power of learning.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Tracie Panzek; her son, Richard Rumbaugh (Diana); and her cherished granddaughter Mariana. Carole now joins her beloved first granddaughter Gabriella, in heaven, a reunion surely filled with light and love.

Carole's greatest passions were her family and dear friends. She loved spending time at the casino and cheering on her Pittsburgh Steelers-a team she supported with unmatched loyalty (and a Terrible Towel never far from reach). Her laughter, generosity, and fiercely loving spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Carole will be laid to rest at The Homewood Cemetery in Pittsburgh, returning to the city that shaped her and that she forever held close to her heart.

In honoring Carole's life, may we carry forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and love--perhaps watch the next Steelers game with a little extra heart.
