Guy Allen Kidd was born February 23, 1936 in Greensburg, KS to William George and Alma May (Bishop) Kidd. Shortly after Guy's birth the family moved to Eureka, KS, where he graduated from high school. He received his BSE degree from Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State University) in Emporia, KS. He taught school for several years before working in the mobile home industry in Indiana. After returning to Emporia in the late 1970s he went to work for the University Police Department. He retired from there in 1998 as Chief of the ESU Police Department and held the rank of Captain.

He and Carol were married in 1986 in Las Vegas, NV and made their home in Neosho Rapids, KS. After retirement he and Carol enjoyed golfing and travelling in their RV. They lived in Oklahoma and Arkansas before moving to Casa Grande in 2015.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Robert, Vernon, and Lester Kidd.

He is survived by his wife.
