Jose de Jesus "Chuy" Montoya Munoz

Jose de Jesus "Chuy" Montoya Munoz passed away September 19, 2025 in Maricopa. He was 55. He was born February 17, 1970 in Tamatlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Chuy was an avid sports fan. He liked the Kansas City Chiefs but he loved his favorite Futbol (soccer) team Chivas of Guadalajara.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing pool with his co workers. He liked to cook and always made too much food. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He loved dogs and is survived by his furry friend, Cesar.

Jose is survived by his wife Imelda Ocano; children Angel Montoya and Abraham Montoya of Maricopa and Alejandro Montoya of Chandler; siblings Ana Montoya Munoz, Hilda Montoya Munoz and many nieces and nephews and Cesar.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nicolas Montoya Esparza and Terese Munoz Cruz and his sister Rosa Montoya Munoz.

Services will be on September 27, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Church-Ak Chin, 16657 N. Church Rd., Maricopa, AZ. Visitation starts at 1:00 pm and Mass is at 3:00 pm. Father Antony Tinker presiding.
