Veronica Yon, a woman whose laughter could light up any room, whose adventurous spirit inspired those around her, and whose love for her family knew no bounds.

Veronica was born to Jose Luis Yon and Ofelia Rodriguez, and though her mother preceded her in death, the love and lessons she passed on lived on in Veronica’s heart and in all she shared with others. She grew up surrounded by her siblings — Rubi Montanez, Luis Yon, Denise Caballero, and Raul Yon — who were not only her family but also her lifelong friends and companions in many adventures.

A proud high school graduate, Veronica devoted her life to creating a warm and nurturing home as a homemaker, always putting her children first. She was a mother who would move mountains for her children — Kassandra Arciniega, Adrian Aredondo, Karina Nardo, Kaylee Nardo, and Ashlee Nardo — and later a grandmother who poured love and joy into the lives of her grandchildren. And how could we forget her life partner Martin Ramirez. Family was the center of her world, and her spirit.

She loved to dance, to laugh, and to embrace life fully — sometimes with a little mischief, as the story of her hopping on a dirt bike without ever having ridden one before proves! She gunned the gas, wiped out, and yet faced it all with the same boldness and joy that defined her life.

She was also a talented cook, known for preparing delicious meals, especially the recipes passed down from her mother. Sharing food was just another way she showed love, bringing her family together around the table and creating memories that will last a lifetime Veronica’s life was full of laughter, love, and adventure. She lived boldly, loved deeply, and reminded everyone around her that life is best lived with courage, joy, and an open heart.

Though we will miss her dearly, her spirit lives on in her children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who were lucky enough to know her. Today, as we celebrate Veronica’s life, let us remember her not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the love, laughter, and fearless joy she brought into the world. Let us honor her memory by cherishing our families, embracing life’s adventures, and sharing laughter and love as generously as she did.

Veronica Yon, your laughter, your love, and your adventurous spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Veronica. Your presence in our lives was a gift, and now your soul rest in the arms of our Savior. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed. Rest in peace.  Amen
