It is with extremely heavy, broken hearts that we share the news of the passing of our daughter, Britni, who passed from her life here while sleeping on Friday(12/19/25) at the age of 36.

Britni will be greatly missed. She had a warm heart especially for the very young, very old, and those that were hurting. Though she didn't have a lot of material possessions, she was often giving little trinkets and sharing words that showed deep creativity and thought behind the gifts.

Britni was the "Keeper of the Memories" for our family. Her ability to remember events down to the tiniest details was both a gift and a curse...bringing great pleasure as well as intense pain. She would often say, "Do you remember when...?" which always reminded us of our failing memories. The remaining Dodds are going to have to step it up!

Britni struggled with physical and mental illnesses making this life so challenging for her and those who love her. Her artwork was both cathartic and symbolic of her life. Music, art, poetry...all so important to Brit as she worked to find her place in life.

We are so very grateful for those that were part of her life. So many have reached out sharing stories about Britni and praying for our family. Oh, how comforting that has been for us.

As we approach this next season of life, especially with Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we are filled with both devastation and hope. A copy of Jesus Calling was sitting on Brit's nightstand. We cling to the belief that Britni's faith in her Savior Jesus led her into His loving arms on Friday. We imagine her free of all pain and busy, as her cousin recently suggested, painting beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Britni is survived by her parents Cathrine (Cathy) Dodd and Charles (Chuck) Dodd and her siblings Ryan Dodd and Mike Dodd.

Services will be TBA.

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.

John 3:16-17 NLT
