September 3, 1936 - May 19, 2025

Shirley Colleen Nash, of Casa Grande, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday,

May 19, 2025, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Nash

and a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend.

Born in Pana, Illinois, on September 3, 1936, Shirley spent most of her childhood in her

hometown and graduated from Pana High School. She remained in Illinois into

adulthood, raising her four children with love and dedication. Later in life, Shirley

relocated to Arizona, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by the beauty of

the Southwest and the warmth of her growing family.

Shirley worked for Western Sod and Seed as a transportation coordinator, where she

was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and the many meaningful relationships

she built throughout her career. Her passions extended beyond her professional life.

Shirley loved the outdoors and could often be found camping, hiking, four-wheeling, or

traveling. An avid hiker, she and her husband Jerry shared a deep appreciation for

nature’s wonders. Among their many adventures, their most memorable was hiking the

Grand Canyon from rim to rim.

Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Nash and her son Daniel

Lee Elliott. She is survived by her devoted children and stepchildren: Dennis Kirk Elliott,

Kimber Colleen Morin (Elliott) and her husband Doug, Erik (Shane) Elliott, Donny Nash

and his wife Tammy, and Dana Hiatt (Nash) and her husband Brad. Shirley also leaves

behind twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Shirley will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love for

family, and the lasting memories she created with those around her.

Shirley’s services will be private. Her family will plan a celebration of life at a later time,

where Shirley will be lovingly remembered and joined in rest with her late husband,
