He is survived by his wife Berenice Valbuena Morales; his father Luis Guillermo Contreas Sanchez; children Gisela Contreas Pena and Daniel Contreas Leon; siblings Elluz Milena Contreas Pena and Letty Esmeralda Contreas Pena and one grandchild.
Sjarif was a member of the Red Cross in Columbia. He was very passionate about soccer and eating.
